香港六合彩资料图库 the Percussion Program

The 香港六合彩资料图库 Percussion Area prepares students for success in the industry. We help our students reach their maximum potential, which is often beyond their expectations. Faculty offers a well-rounded education. Versatility is stressed so graduates learn how to adapt to an ever-changing industry and have a better chance at earning a living as a performer, becoming a great teacher, or auditioning for a quality graduate school.

Our classical percussion majors also study drum set and vibes. Jazz majors may study classical percussion and perform in an ensemble. All percussion and drum set majors should take Fundamental Percussion and Hand Percussion classes. Fundamental Percussion covers cymbals, tambourine, triangle, bass drum and more, where Hand Percussion focuses on Latin and world percussion instruments. These skills are taken into ensemble settings in our Symphony of Winds and Percussion and Latin Big Band.  Percussion students learn about electronics as a programmer and performer. We also strongly urge our students to take courses dealing with notational programs, Pro Tools, music arrangement, and marketing.

Prospective students must audition for acceptance to the major in addition to being accepted to the University.
